Audio Transcription
I offer an accurate and timely audio transcription service at great rates. Simply send me your audio file and I'll get the text back to you within 48 hours - or quicker if it's more urgent.
My basic rate for intelligent verbatim transcription is $1.20 (USD) or 85p (GBP) per minute of audio. This may be increased for other forms of transcription, audio involving three or more speakers, or where the audio quality is poor. Contact me for details.
Urgent work (required in 24 hours or less) is charged at a 20% premium.
I offer verbatim transcription, intelligent verbatim transcription and edited transcription. These are defined as:
- Verbatim transcription - includes all the 'ums' and 'sort of' or 'like'; it's a full transcript of every word spoken. This results in a complete record of the speech or exchange, but is often not easy to read.
- Intelligent verbatim transcription - the text is tidied up to exclude all the 'ums' and other fillers that are usually used in speech. The transcript will be easier to read as a result, but sentence structure still follows speech patterns.
- Edited transcription - the sentence structures are improved, converting the spoken word into meaningful text that is much easier to read.
